FAE PUBLICATION ON PANTAMIGATE: COLOSSAL REDUCTION OF TRUST, A PERCEPTIVE ABUSE OF GREY HAIR AND DISLOCATION OF AUTHORITY – MISCARRIAGE OF WISDOM INTENSELY NEEDED 4

Image
Concluding Series 4 Continued from Series 3. F or years, the Alumni has been quizzing the management with round table discussion to fix the transcript issues, as well as a befitting secretariat for the alumni, amidst other misnomers in the system, all of the sudden we are being promised 90days solution and at the same time, given an excuse that student not paying school fees on time, was the chief cause of failed delivery of sole rights of graduates to academic report card – we are talking of transcripts majorly requested by university graduates here - these our supposed elders clapped to it and pulped champagne of shamelessness suddenly, to what the management have been paying same level of lips service to in time past, but didn’t hesitate in journeying through the Jaws of the Niger to the west coast of Lagos, to eat a gluconic dinner devoid of the main stream issues counsel and facts, rather stocking money in the boot of the management for a supposedly university project, wit...

FAE PUBLICATION ON PANTAMIGATE: COLOSSAL REDUCTION OF TRUST, A PERCEPTIVE ABUSE OF GREY HAIR AND DISLOCATION OF AUTHORITY – MISCARRIAGE OF WISDOM INTENSELY NEEDED 3

Series 3 Continued from series 2 So! off all the travails of the university, the most important thing to our revered “so-called elders” is winning and dinning? -   a behavior associated with youthful exuberance!   The public would be asking by now, what sort of an elder, in this generation goes dancing disco/do-rime, while the young people are at work asking questions on why their university is being de-roped of her glory of ages past in a digital dispensation?   One will be forced to ask, what is an ELDER doing in a corporate institution of an academic setting other than offering sound counsel, devoid of stomach plans (considering that nothing substance, emerged on the PANTAMIGATE saga, a burning issue of national concern) or are we in an age-grade or village meeting where self is more enthroned and tolerated based on age! Could this be part of the process of under-writing the university management pledge being pinched at the NEC leadership of FAA as a rejoin...

FAE PUBLICATION ON PANTAMIGATE: COLOSSAL REDUCTION OF TRUST, A PERCEPTIVE ABUSE OF GREY HAIR AND DISLOCATION OF AUTHORITY – MISCARRIAGE OF WISDOM INTENSELY NEEDED 2

Series 2 Continued from Series 1 Who are these elders, are they the same people we nourish and flourish on their good counsel for common good of all? Hope they didn’t acquire certificate from FUTO in as well as allocating a space for befitting secretariat of the alumni sequencing as such or were they afraid due to the tone of the VC’s address! how come no single admonition or establishment of what the institution’s prayer is before the court? How can they, in their wisdom gather to raise fund to support the accused VC into legally pressuring on ASUU to accept her decisions publicly questioned by several interest groups - without making their positions known to the management, being that academics (ASUU) who considered the decision short of quality has extended threat sanctions to our dearest alma matter. How be it that, despite being labelled nonentities for requesting explanation through FAA (which they ascent membership) from the university management on the level involvement in...

FAE PUBLICATION ON PANTAMIGATE: COLOSSAL REDUCTION OF TRUST, A PERCEPTIVE ABUSE OF GREY HAIR AND DISLOCATION OF AUTHORITY – MISCARRIAGE OF WISDOM INTENSELY NEEDED

Series 1 It is unheard off and in fact a miscarriage of wisdom - that a man’s house will be on fire, and he will be busy chasing rats. It is even more saddening that delayed gratification expected of an elder will be palpitated with unholy and inordinate craving for the “indirect quest to install interest” capable of being misinterpreted as “quest to needs of the stomach” . Some of us were wholly enthused that the grey headed segment of our great alma mater was going to meaningfully engage the management in a round table, with intent of concrete status-quo on operation gone wrong, with a clear and direct counsel to the management on how to salvage the situation not acceptable to the alumni community. How on earth, will this rare segment of our Alumni, presumed and expected to be gifted with wisdom, in the face of National debasement, brought to her alma matter by actions of the management, publicly fingered externally, as failing below trusted quality, throw caution to the wind, go ...
